Bin collection update from Derbyshire Dales: April 20th

A reminder that due to the coronavirus outbreak we are now collecting your food waste fortnightly on your scheduled household waste collection day.

Unfortunately we’ve had to put the usual Spring delivery of free biodegradable caddy liners on hold for the time being. If you are running out, you can use instead any biodegradable bag that conforms to BS:EN13432 standard displaying the logo in the middle of the photo shown.

In the current circumstances we are also happy for you to put food waste direct into your kerbside caddy (it may need washing out afterwards) or add your kitchen caddy to your kerbside collection.

Please note:
* Our crews still do not have the resources to return for any recycling missed before normal recycling collections restarted on Wednesday last week.
* The crews will be trying to take recycling side waste where possible on your next scheduled recycling day – please check how to present excess recycling at www.derbyshiredales.gov.uk/excessrecycling
* Garden waste collections remain suspended until further notice

Thank you.
