• Derbyshire poet creates ‘audio odyssey’ to celebrate the Peak District National Park 7th January 2021
  A Derbyshire poet is releasing the second chapter of an ‘audio artwork’ celebrating this year’s 70th Anniversary of the Peak District National Park (PDNP).
• Historic Bakewell visitor centre re-opens following refurbishment work 3rd December 2020
  Bakewell visitor centre has re-opened following work to maintain and improve the historic building and refresh internal displays.
• Responding to confirmation from Derbyshire police today that a man has been charged with stealing peregrine falcon eggs in the Peak District 17th November 2020
  Peak District National Park chief executive Sarah Fowler said: “The peregrine falcon is one of the most iconic species we are fortunate enough to have make a home in our National Park, and crimes against these birds or any wildlife has no place in the Peak District.
• Breeding success for raptors in Peak District uplands 16th September 2020
  In its 2020 Interim Report, the Peak District Bird of Prey Initiative (BOPI) has announced encouraging breeding successes for several raptor species in the moorland areas of the Peak District, thanks to collaboration between landowners, gamekeepers and raptor workers during COVID-19.
• Temporary closures on Monsal Trail for conservation and essential safety work 9th September 2020
  The Peak District National Park Authority is asking people to be aware that sections of the Monsal Trail will be closed from Monday September 28, for two weeks, on Monday to Friday only.

• Record numbers of people enjoying National Park 'multi-user' trails following lockdown 19th August 2020
  Since the government's coronavirus lockdown was lifted in May, traffic-free trails in the Peak District National Park have seen a significant increase on previous years in the numbers of people using them.
