July 4th and a number of local establishments are reopening following government guidance. In Hartington The Royal British Legion plans to open today as do both the Devonshire Arms and the Charles Cotton. Social distancing and Covid Secure measures are in place so check notices/websites/Facebook or contact the establishments directly for details. Some are suggesting booking tables in advance may be a good idea. Also remember that you will need to provide name, address and contact details when entering pubs to assist with any track and tracing needed. “It’s life Jim but not as we know it !”

Slightly further afield the Waterloo Inn (Biggin), the Jug and Glass on the A515 also reopen on Saturday 4th July with the Duke of York at Pomerot opening on the 7th July

Some campsites and accommodation in the local area are also reopen from today.
