The Dovedale Dipper Challenge, starting and finishing at Hartington Village Hall on Sunday 4th August, was a great success with over 400 participating in the 26 mile run/walk and the shorter 15 mile ramble.

The event, organised by the Matlock Rotary Club, raised approximately £3500.00 and this will be donated to Derbyshire Autism Services together with smaller donations to the support organisations essential to the smooth running of the event.

President, Phil Pegg, has thanked the Village Hall and Hartington Community for the great support given to Matlock Rotary over the seventeen years that they have run this event. From next year Peak Running will be taking over the organisation of the event but Rotarians will still be involved on a voluntary basis and Matlock Rotary will continue to benefit from the event through the generosity of Peak Running.
