You may be aware that the Government has moved the May Day Bank Holiday to May 8th to coincide with Celebrations of VE Day.
Several member of the Community have expressed an interest in helping the village to work together to commerate this event.
We expect that we can access grants to support this event as we did in 2012 for the Queens Jubilee. The history group have many photographs and memories from the village events in 1949
It will be great if all groups and individuals who are interested could meet to consider the sort of activities we could organise and bring together all the groups in the village. A meeting is proposed on either 15th, 21st, 28th or 29th October at 2 – 3pm, 3- – 4 p.m. or 6 – 7 p.m. Please let Liz Broomfield know f you interested but unable to make any of these times – or email digitalteam@hartingtonvillage.com by 7th October 2019
