A wonderful meeting of Derbyshire Dry Stone Walling Association held on Wednesday 22nd March, in The Devonshire Arms, brought wallers together from all across Derbyshire to celebrate Trevor’s outstanding contribution to Dry Stone Walling and to the teaching of Dry Stone Walling. Unbeknown to Trevor the meeting, specially arranged in his honour was where he was to be awarded Honorary Life Membership of the Dry Stone Walling Association. Trevor was presented with his certificate and a pair of engraved Whisky tumblers by the reknown West Yorkshire Dry Stone Waller, Mr Bill Noble. Members of the Derbyshire Branch all wore “I am Trevor trained” with Trevor’s badge stating he is “The world’s greatest dry stone waller”. After brief speeches everyone tucked into the buffet !
