Parlez-vous français?
From September, local residents across our parishes and Staffordshire Moorlands will be able to improve their linguistic skills by attending sessions with a new French Group. The group is being set up by Jessica Mulligan, who recently relocated to the Peak District with her family. She is an experienced French teacher and loves sharing her passion for France and the French language.
Sessions will take place on Thursday mornings at Hartington Village Hall and will be offered as a six-week course. The first course will start on 21 September 2023. There will be two sessions on offer each week:
- Improvers: For those with a little prior knowledge (perhaps GCSE/O-level), but it may be rusty! The course will begin with a review of the basics before progressing to new topics.
- Intermediate: For those with French O-level and perhaps A-level, or an equivalent level, who wish to refresh and further their knowledge. Each class will be divided into language work and a conversational section to improve fluency and confidence.
