The Application was heard as item 13 on the Peak District National Park Planning Agenda on Friday 13th February at the Peak Park Offices, Bakewell. The Application was rejected with 9 members against, 2 for the Application and 3 abstaining.

10 members of the Village spoke against the Application, with the CPRE (Friends of the Peak District) also opposing.

This is the second time the Village have fought an Applications which has been Recommended by Peak Park Planning Officers and then rejected by their own Planning Committee. The first was for 39 homes (which also failed a Public Inquiry) and now an application for 26.

The Village now intend to produce their own plans for a suitable development of the site.
