As we enter Advent and the darkness of December and lights are put up around the village a number of requests have been made for as many of the Advent Windows to be lit throughout the whole of December.
So, where possible, could those lighting a window as part of the Hartington Advent Windows consider lighting their windows early this year and keep them running through to January 1st? Their allocated date would still be the time that the window is “featured” but lighting for a longer period would bring a little bit more cheer to many and allow more locals and visitors to see the full selection of windows.
