Derbyshire Dales District Council’s neighbourhoods staff will be knocking on doors in flood affected areas this Friday to check on the welfare of local people.

The Covid-secure visits will happen from 9am in Hartington, Rowsley and parts of Bakewell that saw the worst of the overnight flooding – Wye Bank, Wye Bank Grove and Wye Dale Crescent.

The team, who will wear masks and only enter a property in an emergency situation, will show official Derbyshire Dales District Council ID staff badges. They will be focusing on residents who called the District Council’s emergency floodline number.
