The final draw of our 2020/2021 lottery was made on Wednesday  by John Dean. The winning number 90, and a final prize of £300, is held by Carol Clayton of Stonewell Lane, Hartington who many of you will know, not least through her work at the Post Office/Beresford Tea Rooms.

We have received great news in the last ten days. We have been successful in securing a final grant award of £3000 from the Bingham Trust and this means we can proceed to award contracts to replace the 50 year old heating system at the Village Hall. We have received competitive quotes and our Management Group members will decide on the contractor in the next couple of days. The contract to remove the asbestos flue and repair the roof void and floor and ceilings has been awarded to Ashbrook Roofing. The total cost of replacing the entire system will be in the region of £24K. The ‘seed’ funding by the lottery has been pivotal to securing grants towards this work. Trustees wish to thank all who bought lottery subscriptions in the past year.
