The Peak District National Park is proud to announce it is joining other UK national parks to become the first national parks in the world to sign up to the UN-backed Race to Zero pledge.
A free event for families who are fascinated by how people lived in the past is being provided by the Peak District National Park at Castleton Visitor Centre on Friday 26 July.
Peak District planners have been praised for their part in the development of a housing scheme - providing a mix of new open market and affordable rental homes, plus modern industrial units - in the heart of the National Park.
Community and conservation archaeologist Dr Catherine Parker Heath has been shortlisted for Community Archaeologist of the Year in the Council for British Archaeology (CBA) and Marsh Charitable Trust’s annual awards.
