NEW FOR 2021 – CAN YOU HELP?

We have now raised enough for our feasibility study thanks to a generous additional donation from The Bingham Trust, to add to grants from the War Memorials Trust, the Better Derbyshire Dales Fund, Derbyshire County Council Community Leadership Scheme and the Peak District National Park Authority.

The architect has visited Pomeroy War Memorial Hall to carry out a condition survey and to draw up plans of the building as it is currently.  A schedule of works will follow. Meanwhile we are working with Elanor Hazlehurst of Greenwood Projects to carry out a future uses study and also a public consultation. Elanor will be contacting local businesses and organisations who may have ideas on what the hall can be used for, or may be able to pinpoint what our local area is lacking. If you have a business or organisation with a potential interest in Pomeroy War Memorial Hall, please contact us (below) or Elanor directly on 07719 014375. If you would like to take part in our public consultation about the future of the hall please go to our online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PLS9NKJ or via our Facebook page www.facebook.com/pomeroymemorial hall, or by clicking on the QR code below. Alternatively, if you would like a paper copy of the survey, please email pomeroywmh@talktalk.net or call 07815 027001.

Lastly, we are desperate for some old photos of Pomeroy War Memorial Hall – either inside or outside. If you do have any pictures (or memories) we would love to hear from you. Please contact us by any of the above methods.

Thank you and speak to you soon – Philip, Jean, Lloyd, Jess, Bridget, Bekah, Jenny and Ian – The Pomeroy Trust Committee.
