At the Rural Social Group Christmas lunch at the village’s national award winning ‘Farm Shop’ the draw was made for our bumper lottery prize of £500. The winning number 9 was drawn by Bethany, one of the staff who treated us so well, and the number is held by Anita and Steve Stoffell. They live in the nearby hamlet of Heathcote and are regular users of the Hall.
All is proceeding well in terms of starting the latest phase of refurbishment on 8th January. John Grosvenor and myself have selected both flooring for the toilets and a new carpet for the entrance and Lower Bakehouse as well as wall panels. A site visit will happen next week with Andy Wain. The grant monies, in excess of £13K, are already in our bank account.
It only remains for me, on behalf of the trustees and our wider management group, to thank you for your invaluable support of our Village Hall and to wish you and your families all the very best for Christmas and throughout 2024.
